Philippe Morvan was a stage designer before becoming a visual artist and light designer and theatre, cinema and music continue to fuel his imagination.  In his workshop in Lyon’s Croix-Rousse district, he designs installations for public spaces on all continents. The scenography and light experiences he creates in collaboration with other artists or musicians are intended to be narrative, escapist, unpredictable and to connect people.  He aims to produce artworks that are accessible to everyone and bring a touch of fantasy to the streets of Lyon. His works have been a regular fixture of the Festival since 2009 and he also creates permanent installations in gardens and public spaces.
