Ukrainian artist Kateryna Pits uses new media to ask big questions about our relationship with the world, and conducts research in the field of digital-mechanical art and human/computer human/machine interfaces. She repeatedly charts, examines, and questions the contradictions we all carry within us: natural/artificial, animated/mechanical, real/imaginary, analytic/synthetic, authentic/counterfeit, universal/personal, interior/exterior. This is an exploration of the mental attitudes of our era, a piece that lights the way out of the all too narrow confines of binary thinking.
