Sophie Hombert, founder and creator of the plant luminescence concept and pioneer in the field, captures the attention of audiences with her transformed plants. She is one of those innovative and determined people who are working on practical solutions to address the climate emergency. In the dark, her “glowing plants” bring a reassuring presence, and above all, their new beauty involves no genetic modification or electricity. Interweaving technical expertise, agronomic knowledge and art, her work is constantly shaped by formulations, experiments, studies of the seabed and the search for alternatives to electric lighting. This vast and stimulating field of research is carried out in Paris in her Aglae Design studio, created in 2016.
