Once again, magic is at the heart of this ever-changing attraction! Visitors can admire the luminous creature of the lake and bouquets of flaming flowers warming up the darkness! Everyone is encouraged to take part and support a good cause by buying the traditional candles. The story this year will appeal to all generations, as it covers the history of the Canuts, Lyon’s silk workers, buried treasure, the creation of the lake and the origins of the Festival of Lights. There's altruism and hope in this call to action and invitation to delight in the spectacle. This installation radiates a serene joy which everyone can share, with simplicity and authenticity.

The Léon Bérard Centre is 100 years old and is currently at the forefront of the fight against cancer and in research in this field. The Centre is named after one of the pioneers in the fight against cancer in France and is renowned for not only its care, but also for its teaching, research and innovation. Although founded at the Hôtel-Dieu hospital, it is now located in Lyon's 8th district and treats around 45,000 patients every year. The Lumignons du Cœur candles are purchased in aid of the Centre and remain lit throughout the Festival of Light.
