If you liked last year’s Gazouillis#1 on Place Voltaire, then you’ll love this second edition, this year in the États-Unis neighbourhood (8th district), featuring the curious birds created by artist BIBI, who loves to inject some poetic magic into our everyday lives. How does it do this? By making birds out of recycled plastic bottles, with some 400 lovely specimens nesting above the Place du Marché! This aviary is in fact a community project, as all the birds were made by children from Lyon, using donated plastic bottles, in workshops supervised by BIBI himself. Wildlife and nature provide an unbridled source of inspiration for this strange magician – indeed his contributions go right back to the flying fish in the Place des Jacobins Fountain in 2008!
