The fountain on the place des Jacobins is somewhat of a favourite of Patrice Warrener’s: the French artist who invented the “chromolithe” process will be bathing it in light for the fourth time. Jacobins act 4 pays tribute to one of the Festival’s best-loved venues which has enchanted generations of spectators. This time, it’s all about the colour. This static installation gives us time to study the fountain, noticing every detail and delighting in the overall effect with its palette of transformative colours. The four statues are draped in rainbow hues. The soothing background music does not overshadow its beauty.
