Since 2003, the Grands Ateliers de Villefontaine have launched an annual call for projects from French and European art, architecture and design schools. Around twenty projects are selected to form a circuit of experimentation in a district of Lyon.
Between 50 and 70 budding artists take over place Sathonay giving free rein to their creativity, lyricism and sense of humour expressed in 22 moving, original or amusing installations nestling in a tree, lighting up a façade, inhabiting a window or illuminating the sky.
