Going through the gate to the Parc de la Tête d’Or, visitors find themselves immersed in the midst of a Chinese fantasy, somewhere between past and present, dream and reality. They discover a town freely inspired on the historic city of Xi'an by participating in the Chinese shadow theatre. The forest, filled with a multitude of lanterns, seems to breathe to the rhythm of their changing lights. Their strolls take the visitors to the lake sprinkled with lotus blossoms. In turn, they are invited to leave a flower thus contributing to the overall picture. This unprecedented project is the result of the collaboration between the cities of Lyon, Canton and X’ian in China.
