This year the Lumignons du Cœur campaign is collecting funds for GAELIS, a non-profit student advocacy and support organisation which played an active role in the local student community during the Covid crisis.
To help the cause, buy a candle for 2 euros and add it to the immense luminous fresco in the place des Jacobins.
It will be transformed into a garden of light, in reference to the former "Empress Square", which at that time was filled with shrubs and flowers. Every corner of the square will be lavishly decorated with bouquets of lights and small candles, while the fountain is set to be transformed into a water garden of "candle flowers".
