In a nutshell

Accroche
A melting pot of cultures and shifting horizons. The theme here is exile, lost roots but also relationships and the power of a glance.... and of light art of course!

Three artists take turns to project their visual narrative, share their point of view, exhibit their knowhow and unveil their original ideas. The short sequences come in fast succession, each as impactful as the last. They are bold, quirky, fast-paced or whimsical.

Just as you have to be focused and fast on your feet to catch a train, you need to be alert and observant to capture all the details of these three projections.

Zouhour Saoud: Sur’impressions
The use of a travelling shot alters our perception and we have trouble finding our bearings amongst the transformations and visual deformations of this immersive experience. The lines between real and virtual are blurred. It is the emotional journey which counts here and not the final destination. The soundtrack is by Géraldine Kwik.

Jésus Baptista: Amalia
With this artwork, Jésus Baptista is seeking to make a connection. As an immigrant himself, he has experienced the disruption of being uprooted from his home but also the new opportunities opening up to him. This projection is all about identity, fusion, new horizons and memories. The soundtrack is by Amadeo Savio.

Dirk Rauscher: One second lovestory
This is a visual poem recounted like the storyline of a graphic novel: how time can be upended by a simple exchange of glances. People rush past each other on the station platform in the morning, moving closer then apart. Everyone has their eyes glued to their path so as to reach their destination on time. The everyday routine of two people is suddenly interrupted when their eyes meet.
