2023 is a year of two major anniversaries in Lyon. The first is the 50th anniversary of the Université Jean Moulin Lyon 3, while the second commemorates 80 years since the death of Resistance hero, Jean Moulin. This then provides an ideal opportunity to reaffirm the values of the French Republic and explore Jean Moulin’s extensive legacy. So it follows on that the Festival of Lights and the Manufacture des Tabacs should join forces to put on an original creation. The images, sound and light effects have been conceived and produced by a group of apprentices-students on the magnificent "20th Century Heritage" building, creating a work that echoes the engagements and battles - past and present - to defend fundamental freedoms.
