UNICODE光3D

The small character that has been slipped into the title of this piece means "light" in Chinese. To create Unicode 光 3D, Fred Sapey-Triomphe began by observing architecture, then playing around with it: "The geometric shape of the dome of the opera house in Place Pradel is very simple: a semicircle placed onto a pre-existing building. It's like a game with wooden building blocks. The idea of the cube for this project came to me quite naturally". The screens form a giant cube, creating a sense of transparency and depth that leads us into a fully immersive and fascinating exploration of the numerical coding of texts from across the world. It is bold and tech-savvy  with beautiful graphics and a sense of vertiginous unpredictability. Let's go!
