The Lyon-based On Off company, which works tirelessly to create and present its shows in sign language and French, and video artist Pierre Amoudruz, have combined their energies and expertise for this year’s Festival of Lights. This is an immersive experience that breaks through barriers of perception, challenges stereotypes and opens a window on deaf culture. The projection will be displayed on the three large façades of the Bullukian Foundation's inner courtyard and is a wonderful opportunity for everyone to discover Video Visual Vernacular! “This is visual poetry that comes alive through gestures. Audiences look closely and understand," explains Pénélope Schulmann, coordinator of On Off. This artistic approach is a collective effort and a challenge for society, calling for increased awareness, without ever closing doors.
