This installation highlights the power of the branches, with their shapes re-drawn and their intertwining patterns revealed after nightfall. The living world is at the heart of Joanie Lemercier's engaged productions. Her career has been dedicated to visual art but, over the past few years, she has also turned to environmental activism. All the trees focuses on contemplation, on both an individual and collective level. In the current climate emergency, the work rallies people together through the finesse and coherence of its design. Using reconditioned materials, reducing the impact of energy and keeping travel to a minimum, the creator has also meticulously organised the production with local artists.
